THE INLAND EMPIRE’S MOST TALENTED HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL PLAYERS

WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE 9th ANNUAL ALL-STAR EXTRAVAGANZA

Some of the finest players in the Inland Empire will participate in the 9th Annual Best of the Inland All-Star Classic, sponsored by Skin Tight in association with the Inland Empire Superstar Foundation (IESF) and the Inland Empire Basketball Program (IEBP).  The games, which are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California, will not only feature the best male players to be found in the area – but it will showcase the most talented girls as well.

This is the 9th Annual Best of the Inland All-Star Classic for the Inland Empire Basketball Program and The Inland Empire Superstar Foundation, “We are excited about this rare opportunity to showcase some of the exceptional female talent in the area.” said IESF Co-Director Julius Patterson.

In addition to the two basketball games, the Classic will also feature 3-point shooting and slam dunk contests.  This will be an outstanding opportunity to see players from the entire Inland together in one event. “We have a lot of talent in the I.E. and seasoned players who are eager to play in what will probably be their last game as high schools students.”  said IESF Co-Director Keith Howard.

The Inland Empire Basketball Program (IEBP) was established in 1993 by a group of concerned parents who wanted to provide a positive, productive framework for high-school boys to learn and grow into mature young men equipped with the basketball and life skills necessary to succeed in the world. The mission of IEBP is to promote academic and athletic achievement, while developing character and self-esteem through a commitment of self-improvement, teamwork and the establishment of positive and realistic goals.   Since its inception hundreds of young men have participated on IEBP teams; 80 of them have successfully gone on to play college basketball.  The Inland Empire Superstar Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.
